The trailer for Deadpool 2 was debuted today. I was a big fan of the first movie as evidenced in my Deadpool review. I’m very excited about the sequel and seeing the Deadpool/X-Men universe expand.
Ryan Reynolds was amazing in his role as Wade Wilson. I felt like Morena Baccarin’s character was underutilized, but it looks like she will have a larger role in this movie. I’m really curious to see if she will become Copycat in the sequel. I know she has expressed a desire to become Copycat. We’ll just have to wait and see.
There’s so much to love in the trailer. The “packing up all the gluten int he world and launching it into space” line had me on the floor. (My wife has a gluten allergy. I’d do the same for her.) The Lebron James chalk toss, the Superman punch with the brick, the birth of the X-Force, so much fourth wall breaking…
Deadpool 2 hits theaters May 18. The movie is directed by David Leitch, stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Josh Brolin as Cable and Zazie Beetz as Domino. Oh, and Terry Crews is in there somewhere.
