Luke Harper Requests His Release From WWE

WWE Superstar, Luke Harper announced via Twitter today that he requested a release from WWE.

Harper is best known during his time in WWE as a member of The Wyatt Family. Last year Harper and Erick Rowan teamed up to form the Bludgeon Brothers. As The Bludgeon Brothers, Harper and Rowan went on to defeat the Usos and the New Day in a Triple Threat Match last year at WrestleMania 34 to become the new SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions.

Many fans viewed Harper as a potential upper-midcarder, but whenever it seemed he was about to get a single’s push the storyline was dropped shortly there after.

Harper recently took some significant time off to heal up from injury. He appeared to be cleared as of his October 1, 2018 where he deated Mojo Rawley at a Raw Live Event, but hasn’t been seen much since. He recently made an appearance at WrestleMania Axxess and was the last man down the ramp during the intros for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal during the WrestleMania 35 pre-show.

Sin Cara lended his support to Luke Harper posting on Twitter:

Harper has always been underutilized in my eyes. I wish him all the best… whatever that may be for him and his family.
